Terms of Use

Last updated 24 August 2026

These terms govern your use of the Travel Companion mobile application ("the App"), published by Florian Lepage, sole trader (entrepreneur individuel) trading as FLORIAN LEPAGE KYN STUDIO, SIREN 902 557 503 ("we", "us"). By using the App you accept them.

[01] What the App is

Travel Companion is a budgeting tool. It helps you plan and record what you spend on a trip. It is not a bank, not a payment service, and not financial advice. Nothing it shows you is a recommendation to spend or not to spend.

[02] Your account

You need an account to use the App. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 16 years old.

[03] Connecting a bank account

Connecting a bank is optional. If you choose to, the connection is made through Enable Banking Oy, an authorised account information service provider, and you authenticate directly with your own bank. We never see your banking credentials.

The connection is read-only. The App can see transactions; it cannot move money. Your bank's consent lasts at most 90 days, after which you must authorise it again, and you can disconnect at any time from within the App.

Transaction data comes from your bank as your bank supplies it. Payments can be booked days after you make them, descriptions are often abbreviated, and amounts may settle differently from the price you saw. We do not guarantee that what the App shows matches your bank statement, and your bank statement is always the authoritative record.

[04] Automatic category suggestions

The App can suggest which budget category a payment belongs to. These suggestions are generated automatically and are sometimes wrong. You can change any of them, and you should check them before relying on the totals.

[05] Subscriptions

Some features require a paid subscription, sold through the App Store and billed by Apple. Prices are shown in the App before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends; you manage and cancel them in your Apple ID settings, not here.

Refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms. If you are a consumer in the EU you have a statutory right of withdrawal, which for digital content delivered immediately you agree is exhausted once the content is supplied.

[06] Acceptable use

[07] Availability

We do our best to keep the App working, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. It depends on services we do not control — your bank, Apple, our infrastructure providers — and any of them can fail or change. We may modify or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice where a change materially reduces what you have paid for.

[08] Your data

What we collect and why is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. You can delete your account and your data from within the App.

[09] Liability

The App is a budgeting aid. Decisions about your money are yours. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, nor for any loss arising from your reliance on figures the App displays, including figures derived from incomplete or delayed bank data.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer under French law.

[10] Ending it

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms.

[11] Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will say so in the App or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the App after that means you accept the new terms.

[12] Law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer you may bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence, and you may use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
